After graduating from the Faculty of Dentistry, Ege University, Serhat Aslan completed his PhD in Periodontology at the Institute of Health Sciences, Ege University, with his thesis entitled "Evaluation of the effect of collagen membrane positioning used in bone grafts on new bone formation in buccal dehiscence defects created during this period" from implant surgery".
He works as a specialist in periodontology in his own clinic. He is a visiting professor at the University of Milan (Italy), Department of Biomedicine, Surgery, Dental Sciences, and at the Department of Periodontology and Implantology of the University of Porto (Portugal). He contributed to the field of regenerative periodontal surgery by defining the technique of complete papilla preservation (entire papilla preservation technique). He participated as an invited speaker in national and international congresses, winning scientific and presentation awards.
He worked as a treasurer in the Izmir branch of the Turkish Association of Periodontology. He continues to be a member of the Central Board of the Turkish Association of Periodontology. DR.
